Christmas in East TX

This year we spent Christmas with my family in East Texas! We had a really great time as always and enjoyed celebrating the season. Here are some pics from our five days of fun!

Uncle Toby watching Toy Story 3 with the kids
Cousin Garrett showing Cam how some of his new toys work

Presents EVERYWHERE and Camden loved it! He squealed/"talked" the whole time and did not want to go down for his nap after! Too much fun!
I may be the only girl in the world who was THRILLED to get pickles for Christmas! My bro-in-law makes the BEST pickles and I got his last two jars as part of my present. :)

Not a great pic, but Toby was excited about his iHome.

We couldn't come to the country with putting Cam in a cowboy hat!
My sweet parents
Christmas meal...our traditional Mexican feast!
Camden was happy even though he didn't get to enjoy the Mexican feast!
Playing with his new blocks

Have I mentioned lately???

How much fun my little boy is? Despite the fact that my hair is a wreck in this pic, I LOVE it! Totally captures the FUN Cam and I have on a daily basis! :)

Camden's First Christmas

We celebrated our first Christmas as a family of three before we headed to Marshall. We kept it really low key, but it was super fun to have Camden join in the fun this year! We are so thankful the Lord blessed us with our sweet little boy. Toby's grandparents were in town so they stopped by in the afternoon. Cam really enjoyed playing with them! More Christmas pics to come from our trip to Marshall!

Camden and his stocking

Our three new stockings

Our sad little tree this year...some people might not like it, but with Camden crawling and pulling up constantly, I decided the tree was not a battle I wanted to fight this year.

About to dig into his stocking

Camden was more interested in the paper than the presents

Trying out his new puzzle...he mostly likes to chew on the pieces for now!

Happy to be with Great Grandma and Grandpa Schulte

The Saturday before Christmas, we celebrated with my mom's family...the Matkins! This was our first year to have Christmas at Grandmother's new home (with my aunt and uncle) and it was super fun! There are lots of little ones running around and Camden enjoyed the playmates.

A little late, but....

Merry Christmas from the Schultes!

Baylor Girls Christmas Party

On Monday night was my Baylor girls annual Christmas party and it was a blast! I am so blessed to have so many of my best girlfriends from college living in Dallas too. These sweet girls mean so much~I love friendships that have seen you through seasons of your life. For our party, we went to Grimaldi's for dinner and then back to my place for dessert and our gift exchange. Sarah was such a trooper and came for desserts with little week old, Brooks. He is so precious and got lots of loving from the girls! Such a fun night celebrating the season!

Scary Santa

Things started out okay...Camden actually was smiling when I set him down, but they didn't snap the picture quick enough. Then, Santa decided to give him a kiss and...
things went downhill fast! Poor little guy was not happy! He kept looking at me like "who is this big, scary guy?!" Luckily he had a quick recovery once Mama was holding him again. Even though he is crying, it was fun to visit Santa for the first time! I plan on framing our Santa pics every year with the year on them and displaying them at Christmas. Should be fun to look back over the years!

Mimi & Grampa Come to Visit

Mimi and Grampa made a quick trip to Dallas this past weekend! Camden LOVED spending time with his grandparents. A HUGE thank you to both of them for making the trip down and providing some free babysitting services so that Friday night we could go to our annual Lifegroup Christmas Party! And Saturday, we could go to the Big XII Championship. Although the Huskers lost, we really enjoyed getting to be there to see the action! (The loss is the reason for only one picture~Toby wasn't really in the picture taking mood after the game.)

Meet "Dodger" the Dragon

Mimi and Grampa gave Camden a really cool Go, Baby, Go! Dragon for Christmas that he loves! It is named "Dodger" since Mimi's school mascot is the Dodge Dragon. We didn't know if Cam was old enough to enjoy it yet, but to our surprise he is really enjoying both ways to get around on it. Thanks, Mimi and Grampa for the fun new toy!

Thanksgivemas

While in Nebraska we celebrated Thanksgiving and Christmas with Toby's family since we won't be together in December. We really enjoyed our time together as always and loved getting to see Camden play with his cousins! Here are some pics from our fun time together!

Isn't this sock monkey hat the cutest?! Thanks, Mimi! Camden LOVED playing with and watching Joshua play! I think these two will have so much fun together over the years!!! Mimi with her two youngest grandkids. Susannah and Camden are only a little over 7 months a part! So fun to have cousins close in age!

I borrowed these pics from Uncle Matthew, but I guess since he was the photographer, he is missing from all of them! Thanks for sharing the pics!
