KINDER Field Trip

A few weeks ago we headed to the Heard Museum for Cam's first field trip.  The fall field trip got rained out twice and he has been dying to ride a school bus!  Mama was happy she got to chaperon the trip too.  It was a fun (and exhausting) time for all!

SIX Years Old

My heart hurts just thinking about it...you are SIX!  Seriously, how is my baby boy SO old?!  Here is a look at Camden at age 6!
• One day we think your growth may slow down, but not yet!  At your well visit, you were 52 inches (100%) and 59.6 pounds (95%).  Overall you got a great bill of health! You consistently get mistaken for an older kid!
• Since you're so tall, you wear big clothes! Cam wears mostly size 8 or 10 clothes and size 3 shoes.
•Camden sleeps from 8:00pm to 7:00 am every day!  On the weekends, you like to sleep in a little later and some school mornings I have to drag you out of bed about 7:20.  Your bed is crowded with your Nebraska and Star Wars blankets, a water cup and a zoo of stuffed animals! You listen the radio as you go to sleep and use a nightlight.
• It has been really cool to see your faith grow this past year!  When you face scary or anxious times, you nearly always tell me you prayed and asked for God's help.  I love that you know you can rely on Him.  You ask a lot of tough questions when we read the Bible.
• Camden has Mama's eyes, hair and skin color with Daddy's features.  You seriously look just like Daddy when he was a boy just with blonder hair!  You have your first wiggly tooth and you are thrilled!  You've been dying to lose a tooth!
•Cam LOVES playing sports!  So far you have tried soccer, basketball and baseball.  You've become much more focused and love to practice at home!  We love cheering you on and Daddy loves coaching your baseball team.
• BIG changes happened this year as your started KINDERGARTEN!  I think we were all pretty nervous, but you have thrived!!!  It is so fun to see you soaking things in, excelling academically and loving school in general.  You have an amazing Kinder teacher and have made a lot of good friends,  We love to come visit you for lunch!  You list PE and recess as your favorite times of day.•Your overall behavior is pretty good, but we're working on obeying the first time and not whining!  I have a feeling we'll have a lot of years left with these challenges.  • Camden is a little sponge and loves learning!  I'm a very proud Mama, but I can't believe all the things you know.  I don't even begin to know how to list all you know...it amazes me!  You recently got into AIM (gifted and talented) at school and are reading like a champ!
• Some of your favorite things right now are: Star Wars, playing and watching sports, science experiments, video games, playing games, music, helping Daddy "fix" things, and reading books.
• You are a FABULOUS big brother!  Halle absolutely ADORES you!  You help with her a lot and love to give her lots of hugs.  She asks about you a billion times every day while you are in school.
We are SO proud of you and can't wait to see how God continues to grow you in the next year.  We love you, Camden Lloyd!
