A Boy and His "Gobbles"

There once lived a boy named Camden who thought his "gobbles" were the coolest thing ever.  This little boy thought they were the perfect accessory to every outfit.  Some days his Mama even had to hide them to make sure they didn't make an appearance!  Who wouldn't want to look this cool?!?!

A New View

Right before Camden's first birthday, carseat guidelines were changed to suggest babies stay rear facing until age 2.  Even though it was not a law, just a guideline, we have kept Cam rear facing.  It has been pretty funny to see his legs squished, especially since he's bigger than most 2 year olds!  This week while heading to East Texas we decided to make the switch.  Looks like he liked it!

Some Suds Fun

Last week, I filled up the sink with lots of soap suds and let Cam play to his heart's desire!  He really liked spraying the bubbles down, washing his cars, and splashing like crazy.  My sink area and Camden got a great bath during the playtime too!

LOVING..

this AMAZING weather!  We've been outside enjoying it nearly everyday!  I can handle winter if it stays like this.

Fun Weekend

This weekend Camden had a blast playing with Mimi & Grampa!  They were so sweet to drive down for the long weekend and hang out with us.  Camden wasn't the only one who got spoiled, I got to watch a whole basketball game without Cam crawling on me, sleep in, get a mani and pedi for free, and go on a double date with free babysitting.  I could get used to weekends like this!  Needless to say, we were to busy having fun to get lots of pics, but I do LOVE this one of Camden and Grampa.

Here's a glimpse at our life lately!
Love this handsome little guy!
Toby & I headed down to the AAC last week to watch the undefeated Baylor Bears play some basketball...what a fun game it was!  So good to get to hang out with my college roomie, Kirsten.

We enjoyed cheering our Bears to victory in their bowl game with a bunch of our Baylor buddies, including my bestie, Ashlee!
For New Years we hosted a family friendly party and it was a blast!  Here is a shot of the kid dance party...so fun!
My little guy's new favorite face!

Fun at the Ranch

Camden had a blast at the ranch (as Toby calls my parents' place)!  The yucky weather did not stop Camden from some outside play time and fun inside too.
How cute is my mismatched boy all bundled up to go see his new favorite animal, Blondie?  Blondie is my parents' horse and Cam loves her!  Like he is obsessed with her...we probably heard "I wanna see Blondie" about 50 times a day and still occasionally hear it now!
Toby was, as always, the super FUN daddy and uncle...he took the kids on lots of mule rides to explore.  Cam loves it!
Camden checking out one of Papa's deer stands.
Papa took the grandsons on a 4-wheeler ride.
This is where we found Camden many times...watching Blondie from the window.  So sweet!
Reading a book with Nana.
Playing trains with Mama.

Nichols Family Christmas

This year we got to spend time with my family in Marshall for Christmas.  Although the weather was yucky and Uncle Andy was sick, we still had a great time!  We enjoyed celebrating Jesus' birthday with Nana, Papa, Grandmother, Aunt Kara, Mary Grace, and Garrett.
On Christmas Eve, we went to a candlelight service at Crossroads.  Camden and Garrett enjoyed playing the organ with the best organist ever (who happens to be their Nana) after!  Overall, Camden did a great job during the service.
After a morning church service, we enjoyed a delicious Christmas lunch.  Here's my sweet family!
After the boys napped, we started the chaos of presents!  We were happy to have Grandmother there to celebrate with us.
Cam checking out his new doctor kit from Nana & Papa.
MG modeling her cute new coat!
Garrett was very excited about his new bow.

Camden was so excited about his big present from Nana & Papa that he even hugged it...a basketball goal!
And this is what they did the rest of the night!

What a Merry Christmas!
