Halle is FOUR!

And just like that our Halle girl is FOUR! Happy 4th Birthday to our sweet daughter!  Here's what life likes at age 4.
• No change here…you’re still a really long lean girl!  At your doctor visit, you were 42 inches (92%) and 36 pounds (62%).  You had to get shots, but you handled them so well.  You are always a great patient!  Thankfully you won't need shots again until age 11!
• Since you're so tall, you were big clothes! Halle wears mostly 5T or 4/5 clothes and size 11 shoes.
•This year brought some sleep challenges after potty training and a big girl bed, but you’ve now settled back in and  continue to be a fabulous sleeper!  You sleep from about 8:00 pm to 7:15 am every night and we never hear a peep!  You come out and go potty each morning and then go back in your room to play until 8:00 am.  You recently got bunk beds and almost nightly request to have a sleepover with brother!  Amazingly you still nap most days!  I think our days are numbered, but you do pretty well with room time on days you don't nap.  You usually nap for about 1 to 1.5 hours.  You sleep with your “white blankie”, a water cup and an assortment of stuffed animals!  You also listen to your radio as you go to sleep!
• You’re a pretty good eater and love to have “snacks” as you say!  Some of your favorite foods are: whole grain waffles, cereal, watermelon, pineapple, strawberries, soup, cheese, hot dogs, chicken nuggets, pizza, tomatoes, and cucumbers.  You also are pretty good at trying new things!  And no surprise here, you LOVE dessert!
• Halle has big brown and blonde, curly hair.  You wear purple glasses everyday and you love when people comment on them!
• It is hard to keep up with your social calendar!  You LOVE your friends and think I should have a playdate planned daily.  As much as you love your friends, I still think your brother is your favorite playmate.  I love your sweet relationship!
• Halle is quite the chatterbox!  You talk nonstop and sing the few times you’re not talking!
•You are very affectionate which Mama loves (and Daddy too), but also are very busy!  I don't think you are ever still except for sleeping.
• You love to keep your days busy!  You loved MDO 2 days a week and have really built some great friendships at school. On non-school days we go on lots of adventures, but you hate when I say its an errand day.  This next year will bring about big changes as Mama heads back to work and you’ll got to preschool 4 days a week this year.
•Your overall behavior has improved a lot this past year!  We still experience some pretty dramatic moments, but you have learned to recover much quicker than you used to.  I feel like you've grown a lot in this past year in understanding sad choices, sin, forgiveness, etc.
• Halle is a little sponge and loves learning!  I'm a very proud Mama, but I can't believe all the things you know.  This year you've learned to write your name and a few other words, find beginning and ended sounds in most words, rhyme a lot of words, and count really high!
• Some of your favorite things right now are: art projects, coloring, dancing, singing, playing games, music, Paw Patrol, Leap Frog videos, giving hugs, princesses, cats, reading books, and pretending.

We are SO proud of you and can't wait to see how God continues to grow you in the next year.  What a joy it is to be your parents; we love you, Halle Lauren!

Halle's 4th Birthday Party

Halle requested a Paw Patrol party at the natatorium this year.  She loved the party part, but once we headed into swim, she declared, "I don't want a swim party at the natatorium anymore."  Oh my, what a four year old girl!  The rest of the party wasn't the best, but all her pals seemed to have fun!  Silly girl!

Summer Snapshots

Here's a look at how we wrapped up the last few months of summer!
Summer nights spent with good friends!

Carlson's Going Away Party

The girls even played a friendly game of basketball!

We made our annual trip to Hawaiian Falls and had a blast!  For the third year in a row, Halle requested a "tent" to nap in.  And she was out for almost 2 hours!

Kinder friends playdate!

I never get tired of watching this beauty sleep.

These friends sure love each other!  Crazy boys!

Mama's last day before she started work was supposed to be spent at the waterpark, but the rained forced us inside.  We still had a great time at the Frisco Sci-Tech Discovery Center and ice cream after!

Daddy teaching the lifegroup kiddos about Peter walking on water through a science experiment.

Camden got to read a verse on stage at church.  He was pretty nervous, but did a great job!

Halle enjoyed several donut dates with Daddy!

Cam always loves playing at the Coopers!

Camden really enjoyed basketball camp this year!

Backyard water fun

Mama doing a little work reading poolside!

The kids got to spend some more time at the cabin this summer and Halle conquered her fears and jumped off the diving board.

Mama's new view!

The kids spent a week in Nebraska while Mama and Daddy were back to work.  They had an absolute blast and barely noticed we weren't there.  Grampa, Mimi and Aunt Kristin made so many fun plans for them!  We are so thankful for our family!

Mama and the Baylor girls had a night out!

Camden has taken over reading our bedtime story nearly every night.

The boys enjoyed a FC Dallas game!

Lots of meals spent watching the Olympics these days!

Apparently the kids found the streamers and curling ribbon one morning.  Yikes!

The Olympics have even taken over our bedtime reading!

Halle got some dance clothes for her birthday and can't wait until class starts!

I laughed so hard when I found Cam sleeping this way.  It reminded me of how much he switched directions when he was a baby.

The kids also spent a week in Marshall and loved it as usual!  Thank you, Nana and Papa!

Halle and Nana hit up Chuck E Cheese while Aunt Kara braved Six Flags with MG, Garrett and Cam.  This was Camden's first time and he loved it!

Halle Lauren always loves playing with Lauren.  They are both curly, blonde hair, glass girls!

Mama caved and got Halle the coveted Twinkle Toe shoes she wanted!

The boys got to cheer on the Rangers last Sunday!  They even got to play on the field after.

Halle is a ROCKSTAR patient!  We're so proud of how she continues to do a good job with all her exams.

The kiddos had a couple of awesome playdates with friends complete with boat building and Olympic volleyball

We've had an awesome summer, now bring on school!
