9 Months Old

Camden Lloyd is 9 months! I can barely believe my baby boy is that old. Our life is busy, but so fun these days!

• Camden got a good doctor report this month and did great with his shot! Little man continues to be crazy long, 30.5 inches (97%), and is 21 pounds (57%). His weight was down some due to our 1 ½ week long stomach bug.
• Since he continues to grow like crazy, Cam is in all 6-12 months or 12 month clothes and some 12-18 month pants. He wears size 12-18 month or 4 in shoes. He wears size 4 in diapers.
• Camden takes four bottles a day and just transitioned to all formula. He usually drinks 7-8 ounces at each of his feedings. Cam eats solids all three meals a day; oatmeal and fruit for breakfast, fruit and veggie for lunch, and rice cereal and veggie for dinner. We are now down to cereals and table food, no more baby food for this guy! We have been struggling with eating since his stomach bug and are hoping this will improve soon! He doubles his intake when we are out to dinner; I think it is because he is distracted!
• I love how great Camden sleeps! He goes down about 8:00 and sleeps until 7:30 in the morning. Lately, he has been going a little bit later too! He takes two daytime naps around 10:15 and 2:45 and sleeps between 1 ½ to 2 hours. He now naps with a stuffed bear! I think his Mama might like this more than he does.
• Camden continues to be EVERYWHERE and into EVERYTHING! He is so fast, you never know where he is going to be! We’ve had to start saying “no” quite a bit this month as he likes to test his boundaries! Camden is still cruising like a pro and has even stood on his own a few times.
• Tooth number three came in this month adding to his blank top row!
• Other notable things: he is in a big boy car seat now, he had his first stomach bug, he can wave (selectively), he absolutely loves Copper, he “talks” non-stop, he plays peek-a-boo

We love our Camden Lloyd…happy 9 month birthday!

First Boys Playgroup

I've been wanting to start a boy playgroup for quite sometime and finally did it! Today was our first playgroup and we had so much fun! It is crazy how many people I know that had little boys in 2010, so we decided to have them over to play. I was really surprised that there was as much interaction as there was; I have a feeling this is going to be a busy group as they get older! We're already looking forward to next month!

Camden was so happy to have friends over (until he crashed for naptime)!

Gabe and Noah busy playing away! It was funny how even with all the toy options, they all wanted the same thing...we'll work on sharing!

Noah and Camden were EVERYWHERE! I have a feeling these two sweet buddies are going to be trouble. :)

One of the sweet Heartsill twins~they were such troopers and played during their naptime!

Our littlest friend, Brooks, was very popular! The older boys were constantly trying to crawl over to him.

Sweet Brooks played too hard!

A few of our friends had to miss due to yucky sick season...we missed you guys and can't wait to see you next time!

A Glimpse of Camden

Here is a look at what our little guy has been up to lately!

Just playing!

Cuddling with Mama before bathtime.

Snow Day!

Daddy and Cam with the Cam-size snowman
If I was a good photographer this would have been a great shot. :) Camden loves being thrown in the air!
Camden the Explorer
Uh...what is this stuff?
He looked like a little marshmallow!

Even though Toby predicted it wouldn't snow (he thinks people in Texas always overpredict snow), we got the real stuff today! It was the first time Camden has seen snow so we were excited to take him out in it. I don't think he really knew what to think of it, not super cheery, but not sad...just kind of taking it all in. We let him crawl in it a bit, built a snowman, and just enjoyed the flurries that were still falling! I meant to take a picture of Copper in it, but he wouldn't hold still long enough. He was so funny sprinting around the yard in the snow that reached his belly! Camden loved watching him play!

8 Months (Well 8 1/2 Now...)

Our baby boy turned 8 months old on December 21st! So, I’m a little behind, but here is what life is like with Camden Lloyd these days.

• No doctor visit this month, but our rough estimates are that Camden is right around 20 pounds and is just over 30 inches long. The long and lean trend continues!
• Cam is in all 6-12 months or 12 month clothes. We are finishing up our current package of size 3 diapers and will then be moving on to size 4!
• Camden is still taking four liquid feedings a day; the two daytime feedings have been transitioned to formula and he does great with it! He continues to be a very distracted eater which makes for sometimes frustrating feedings. Camden eats solids all three meals a day; oatmeal and fruit for breakfast, fruit and veggie for lunch, and rice cereal and veggie for dinner. This month he has also decided that he wants to feed himself! So we usually have to give him some kind of finger food for him to self feed while we spoon feed. His fav finger foods are yogurt melts, puffs, bananas, cheese, and toast. He’s improved dramatically with his sippy cup since last month and drinks water with every meal.
• Camden is an amazing night sleeper and we LOVE it! He goes down about 8:00 and sleeps until 7:30 in the morning. He still wakes earlier some mornings, but plays quietly until we go in to get him. He takes two daytime naps around 10:00 and 2:30 and sleeps between 1 ½ to 2 hours. Lately we have been closer to the 1 ½ hour side of things! He still occasionally makes noise around 45 minutes into his nap, but is able to go back to sleep.
• Camden is EVERYWHERE and into EVERYTHING! He is such a speedy crawler and pulls up non-stop. He also has started cruising along furniture some too. We laugh because you can usually hear him very easily while he is crawling around. He makes a panting noise kind of like Copper does! It is pretty funny!
• Cam got his second tooth this month, another on the bottom. Makes for a funny grin! He also got his first real haircut this month…it made him look so grown up!
• Camden has lots of toys he loves! He loves “Dodger” dragon, activity table, work bench, basketball goal, and balls. His favorite right now is probably blocks…he loves to knock them down when we stack them! He also loves to play with all the household objects that are not toys…the dishwasher, dryer, boxes, Tupperware, doors to name a few.
• Camden makes lots of noises and is very vocal. His favorite time to talk is at Toy’s basketball game; I think this is because it is so loud there and he feels he needs to contribute to the noise!

I don’t think Camden could be anymore fun that he is right now! We absolutely LOVE our precious boy and can’t believe he getting so big!
P.S. It is getting more and more difficult to get him to sit still for a picture with his dog! Enjoy the other attempts. :)
