It's Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas...

It is hard to believe that Christmas is only 4 days a way! Even though it was 60+ degrees today and sunglasses were needed, Christmas festivities are under way for the Schultes. We finished the semester on Friday and will be heading to Nebraska tomorrow to spend the holidays with Toby's family. I'm sure we will get plenty of "Christmas" weather there.

We've gotten to attend several great Christmas events already this year and the highlights are included. We hosted our lifegroup Christmas party this year. We went to dinner at Brio and then came back to our place for annual ornament (girls) and White Elephant (guys) exchange. As usual, it was a great night! We are so thankful for such an amazing group of friends to share life with. Though the guys were there, I only got pics of the gals from the night.

Last night, I hosted my Baylor girls for our "Girls Night" Christmas Party. It is such a blessing to have five of my close college friends in town. We try to get together often and always have an awesome time at our Christmas party. Dinner, a gift exchange, and a little Mexican train kept us entertained for the night!

Today Toby and I celebrated our last Christmas as a family of two. It is hard to believe that this time next year we will have an 8 month old little boy...we can hardly wait! We exchanged gifts, went to lunch, and watched a movie together. I am so thankful for such a Godly husband who will be the most amazing dad! As usual, he spoiled me with too many gifts.

Merry Christmas to you all!

It's a BOY!!!

We are so excited to find out that we are having a BABY BOY! Wednesday morning we went to Dr. Sadler's office with my parents for our 21 week sonogram. Within 3 seconds, the technician announced it was a BOY. Everything looked really good, but our little guy decided to sleep through the whole thing, even through the poking and bouncing. Because of that we get to go back next month for another sonogram so that they can finish measuring all the organs. We won't mind seeing our sweet BOY again! The tech also said it looks like he has long arms and legs...no surprise seeing that we were in the room with me (5'11"), Toby (6'3"), and my dad (6'4"). My mom was there too. :)

After the appointment we headed to Babies'R'Us to pick up a couple of things for our BOY. Although it was tough, I practiced self control and only purchased 2 sports-themed items. My mom bought a cute puppy set! We then enjoyed a celebratory lunch at Uncle Julio's before we headed back to work.

I feel like knowing that we are having a BOY has made it all feel real! We can't wait to meet him April 2010 and are anxious to start decorating the nursery. Enjoy the pictures!

Big XII Championship

Last Saturday night Toby & I were lucky enough to get great tickets to see Nebraska play in the Big XII Championship. We were unlucky enough to witness a last second, one point loss to the Longhorns. The game was close the whole time and a HUGE defensive battle.

Our seats were awesome and Toby even made national TV! He got like 15 texts at the beginning of the game that people had seen him when Texas ran out of the tunnel. My uncle also sent us a link to us in the background of a picture in the Austin paper. It is found at http://www.statesman.com/sports/mediahub/media/slideshow/index.jsp?tId=204637, picture 112.

Even though the Huskers lost, we were glad to go support the BIG RED!
