Basketball Shorts and Bear Crawl

A few weeks ago, Camden hit a milestone...his first time in basketball shorts! This is a pretty big deal in a house of two athletes (especially for the coach). Doesn't he look so cute?!And this video is too funny not to share! Camden is doing mostly walking indoors these days, but still prefers crawling when he is outside, keeps him closer to the grass that he loves. If he is in shorts, he doesn't like to get his knees scraped up, so he bear crawls! It is soooo funny!!!

Spring Break Swimming

We had a couple of family days over Spring Break before Toby went skiing and decided to spend some time swimming at our city's indoor pool facility. Since it was Spring Break, it was PACKED....which made things a little interesting. Camden wasn't sure what to think of it in the beginning, but warmed up to the idea the longer we stayed. Here's hoping we have a little fish on our hands!

Spring Break: East Texas Style

While Daddy headed to the ski slopes, Camden and I headed to East Texas for a few days. The weather was BEAUTIFUL so we enjoyed all the fun of country living and being with family. As usual, I forgot my camera, so here are a few pics my mom snapped. I'm sad we are missing pictures with Papa and the always entertaining cousins!

Camden loved playing in the pine straw! We are hoping he gets a sand table for his birthday and I joked that we should fill it with straw instead!

Enjoying a ride in the swing!

Aunt Kara gave fun wagon rides. Side note: this is the same wagon I played in when I was little. :)

Camden loved playing with the wind chimes with Nana.

We took lots of rides on the "mule" (like an off-road golf cart) and Cam loved it. He especially enjoyed feeding the fish in the pond, seeing birds, and waving estatically at the horses!

Silly mama didn't bring any shorts for him and it was warm! We tried on some of Garrett's old clothes over the pjs to see if they would work...they did!

Mimi & Grampa Visit

Although his face doesn't show it here, he had a great time with them!
Grampa provided great entertainment when we went to restaraunts!
Grampa and Cam practicing walking!

Mimi and Grampa came to visit a few weeks ago and we had a great time! Unfortunately, Mama forgot to take pics, so Grampa was kind enough to share a few. Camden really enjoyed playing with both of them...wish they didn't live so far away. Love you guys!!!

10 Months Old

My sweet Camden turned 10 months on February 21st! So crazy to think that in two short months (less than that since this post is quite late), he will be 1! If you can’t tell by the picture (this was the best of the 20ish I took) our little guys is ACTIVE! Here is what’s going on with Cam these days…

• No well visit this month although we took Camden in for being sick a few days after his 10 month birthday. He weighs 23 pounds, 6 ounces! People are often surprised he weighs that much, guess he hides his weight well! No ideas on height, but I can tell he is still getting taller.
• Camden is in all 12-18 pants and a mix of 12-18 & 12 month tops. We’ve had to move up to 18 month sleepers to accommodate those long legs! Cam wears size 4 in diapers.
• Camden drinks four bottles a day, but we will be moving to three this month as we try to encourage the sippy cup more. He usually drinks 7-8 ounces at each of his feedings. Solids are still somewhat of a struggle for Camden. He LOVES crackers, multi-grain cheerios, and pretzels, but all other foods are hit or miss. Feeding times can be a bit frustrating for both of us! For breakfast, Camden eats oatmeal and fruit, lunch is yogurt, veggie, and fruit, and dinner is a toss up! Usually it consists of veggie, oatmeal, a little of whatever we’re eating, meat, and cheese.
• Oh how I adore my amazing sleeper! He goes down about 8:00 and sleeps until 7:30-8:00 in the morning. He takes two daytime naps around 10:15-10:30 and 3:00; each is between 1 ½ to 2 hours. We still use a sound machine when he sleeps!
• Camden mastered standing alone this month…so fun! He has been working hard on getting to standing without help or the couch, should be soon. He has also started taking steps. His confidence is a little shaky, but he does great when 2 people are with him!
• Camden has two top and two bottom teeth…he doesn’t look like a baby anymore!
• Other notable things: he loves to knock down blocks and can stack three high, he can say “Mama” and “Dada” (when he wants too, not on command), he opens and closes doors all the time, he loves to shake his head, he plays a copycat game with us with funny noises

Happy 10 months to our sweet boy…we love you very much!

Our Poor Little Sick Boy

Camden is sick! And really sick this time, not just an annoying cold. :( I've never seen my precious boy feel as bad as he has the past few days. He's had a cold the past few weeks and on Tuesday, I thought he was not acting like himself and decided to take him to the doctor. He wasn't running fever, but something clearly was off in my opinion. The doctor took a look and said his throat was a little red, but she thought he was just getting over a cold. She mentioned strep, but said that babies hardly ever get it and he was fever-free. Feeling like a crazy woman, we went home. As luck has it, he started running fever that night. The next day, Camden slept for almost 5 hours for his morning nap and I finally woke him. Clearly something was off! He also continued to run fever. The next morning when he woke up with a fever again, we went back to the doctor. This time she did tests for step and flu...and the results: HE HAS BOTH! Bless his heart; he is one sick little guy! That afternoon he took another marathon 5 hour nap before I woke him. He is taking amoxicillin and tamiflu...not a huge fan of either! We can tell he is improving, but is still not himself. It is so pitiful to watch! For those of you who know Cam well, he is not a cuddler...he is way to active for that. However, he has been these past few days. You know he is tired, because he will crawl over and put his head on you. Breaks my heart! He also is not eating well which has made him pretty weak. We've tried to get him to walk a couple of times, but his little body trembles. Lots of prayers are going up that he'll be better really soon!

Sweet little boy sleeping away

All the meds...Cam is not a fan!
Too tired to hold his head up while watching "Jack's Big Music Show." Camden has gotten to watch a little more TV than normal during this sickness!
This may not be a big deal to many of you, but my baby boy has only slept on me TWICE before this! So tired! (Disclamer: Please don't mind how I look...its been a long few days!)

Hard to Believe...

that I'm already planning this!!!
