Nana & Garrett Visit

Nana and Garrett came to visit for a few days week and kept us busy!  We went to some stores, storytime at the library, dinner out, music class, Chickfila, Toby's baseball game, and 3 parks!  Nana spent some time measuring and starting on crib bedding for Baby Sister...we're excited to see the final results and are thankful she is willing to share her talents with us!  Cam certainly thinks his big cousin is cool and tries to be just like him.  Thanks for coming to visit...we love you both!
On Monday, we went to storytime at the library.  The boys both enjoyed checking out the fish there!
Dancing to one of the fun songs at storytime!
Playing with sand in the backyard...
Boys will be boys...of course, they had to climb on top of the dog house!
Garrett told Nana this was his favorite thing we did...make smoothies!  The boys loved helping!
Enjoying the finished product...
Garrett brought cowboys hat for them both...they are intently watching Handy Manny here!
Marching in music class!  Garrett did great and loved the class!
Some of the chaos fun in class!
The boys singing a slow song with me. :)  Garrett insisted they wear the same shirt on Tuesday!  He thought it was so fun they had the same one.
Playing trucks under the bleachers at Toby's baseball game...
my sweet boy!
Cam's favorite part of Toby's games is in between JV and varsity when he gets to play in the batting cages!  He loves to put all the balls back in the pitching machine.
G-man climbing the nets!
The boys loved the puppies at the baseball game!
On a pasta treasure hunt digging for m&m's, rocks, and pom poms!
Swinging with Nana!
Love this fun, energetic boy...
And of course this little guy too!
Racing the cars!

So thankful for our wonderful family and how they love on Camden!

Saturday Morning

While Daddy headed off to another day of Saturday baseball, Cam and I headed outside to do some of our normal activities.  It was such a beautiful morning, I couldn't stand to stay in!  We love the pretty weather around here!
We started off with a little train making with our blocks...
which always leads to seeing how tall his tower can get!
Then we worked all of his puzzles at least 5 times each!
On to our art time, but his favorite part seems to be opening and shutting the markers. :)
His masterpiece!  Markers, stickers, glue, pom poms, so fun!
We ended with play dough time.  He thought is was cool to stick the straws in!

This morning was closely followed by a Camden meltdown and a discovery that he has strep. :(  However after one dose of meds, he is close to back to normal! The bad news is that Mama has it too.

Update on Baby Girl

We're happy to share that Baby Girl is looking good!  We ask that you continue to join us in prayer for her to grow healthy and strong.  Cam is excited about his new role as "brother" and loves to talk about his "baby sister."  Here is a look at her just shy of 21 weeks.

Conquering Fears

A few weeks ago Camden and I met some friends for a playdate at a local gymnastics center for preschool open gym.  They had trampolines, foam pits, bounce houses, and many other fun activities.  Much to my surprise, my normally brave, adventurous boy was scared and cried for about 45 minutes.  I was at a loss as he is normally not clingy or scared and never has meltdowns for that long!  After hearing him say "alligator get me" about 20 times, I finally put it together!  We attended a birthday party at My Gym where they did a story with puppets about an alligator getting monkeys and it freaked Camden out.  Then that Monday at storytime at the library, they did the same story...and the first bounce house you see in the gym had a big alligator on it!  It all began to make sense.  After I got Cam calmed down some, he had some fun, but was still very timid.  Today, I decided to take him back to face our fears and see if we could get past the scary alligator!  We talked about it and prayed about it before we went; I'm happy to report that it went much better.  My plan of action was to go right pass the alligator bounce house to some of the trampolines and work our way back to the "scary" bounce house.  Overall, Camden was way more adventurous and did not cry at all!  He was still a little scared of a few things, but seemed to have a great time.  I was so proud of my sweet boy conquering his fear!  *Sorry, all of these pictures are from my phone, so they aren't great!  Also, most of these are action shots so that explains the blurs!
Cam going through the inflatable obstacle course.
Climbing up the inflatable slide.
Down he goes!
Up again.
Rolling on the mats.
His favorite: the long trampoline, he loves to run down it and then crash on the mats!
A blurry Camden saying "Hi Mama" as he jumps/runs by!
Just jumping.
Crash.
Swinging over the foam pit.
Playing in the foam pits...he loved getting the balls out.
Kinda bouncing in the infamous alligator bounce house. :)
I guess it does look a little scary after all.

Life Lately

Who sleeps like this?  How can it be comfortable?!?!
Camden LOVES to jump!  Here he is about the jump off...
and here is the "how cool am I face?"!
Camden thinks that Toby's bus (he drives for baseball) is the coolest thing!  He loves to "drive" it whenever he gets a chance.
Silly boy pretending to go "night night" in the tub.
He loves to work puzzles at the library after we go to storytime.
 Sweet boy!
He likes to line things up these days and name the color of everything in sight!  He is right about 75% of the time.
Oops!  This is what happens when Cam helps in the kitchen. :)
Watercolors.
