Summatime Fun

With the temps rising, Cam and I decided to have some friends over for a water playdate.  We had 2 pools, a water table, a sprinkler, water balloons, and too many water toys to count!  To take a break from the heat, we had a picnic lunch inside and then went back outside for popsicles and a little more water fun.  What a fun morning with friends!
Group shot...11 kiddos + 2 babies with their mamas

I spent about 45 minutes on the water balloons for about 5 minutes of play.  Totally worth it! :)

A Balloon for Beckett

Yesterday marked one year since our precious son, Beckett, went to live with Jesus.  We spent some family time remembering and dreaming about him.  Camden sent a balloon up to his brother...I can't wait to see my boys together one day.

Can you tell what we've been up to???

You guessed it...potty training!  I'll spare you all the details, but just wanted to document how great our little guy is doing!  We followed 3 Day Potty Training (http://www.3daypottytraining.com/) and were totally amazed!  A couple of my friends had tried it successfully with girls when they were a little older than Cam, so I was a little skeptical.  We took about 4 days to feel like it had really clicked but it did and it feels great to be totally diaper free...even at nap and night!  Nighttime is still a work in progress (which we expected), but he is doing fabulous!  So proud of our big boy!!!

Hi Girl...

Camden refers to every kid he doesn't know as boy or girl...apparently that includes the Old Navy manequins.  He walked right up to this little girl and said "Hi girl, I'm Camden" and then proceeded to hug her!  Too cute!

There is No Place Like Nebraska...

We kicked off the summer with a road trip to Nebraska to visit our family!  We had a great time ad really enjoyed all the fun activities we did.  Here's a look at our time in pictures!
On the road trip up, Camden was so excited to see this horse and cowboy at a gas station.  He affectionately called them Papa and Blondie.  As in trips past, Cam was a great traveler!  We drove half way and stayed in Wichita before heading to Lincoln.
We spent the first few days in Lincoln with Uncle Matthew, Aunt Kristin, Joshua, Susannah, and Micah.  They were amazing hosts and we so enjoyed seeing the cousins play!  Here they are checking at a caboose our first night there.
Cam rounded out the kids breakfast table!
One day we headed to the Lincoln Children's Museum and had a great time.  Uncle Tim and Aunt Marcia were sweet enough to join us too!

This is a paper eating lion that has been around since Toby was a boy!  It was fun to see Camden feed the same lion.
What a fun day exploring with the cousins!
On Tuesday night, we headed to Omaha to visit our friends Alison and JR.  Camden had fun playing with their adorable daughter, Georgie!
Story time
Backyard swimming fun
The next day we headed to the Children's Museum and had a blast!  Joshua and Cam driving the bulldozers.

Fireman Camden to the rescue!
Wednesday night we all headed to the baseball fields to watch Joshua play.  It was really fun, but our little guy had a hard time just watching.  He wanted to play so bad!
Before the game we took some family pictures.  Great-Grandma and Grandpa Schulte were there from Amarillo too!  So fun to all be together!
All smiles with the Greats!
Mimi and Grampa with the grandkiddos
We then headed to Grand Island to spend some time with Mimi and Grampa.  Aunt Marla and Uncle TJ were there too!  These pics show Cam playing at the campground where Great-Grandma and Grandpa were staying.  He loved the tubes!

Mimi and Grampa took Cam to a fun wading pool in town.  He had a great time even though the water was FREEZING!
We were SO proud of what a great sleeper Camden was on the trip!  This was his first trip sans pack and play...but he loved sleeping on his new Cars sleeping bag.
Aunt Marla was sweet enough to let Camden help her blow out her birthday candles and open her presents.  What a great aunt!
We didn't take any pictures of our time at the lake, but we had so much fun!  It was great to see so many aunts, uncles, and cousins; we also loved watching Cam play with them all and enjoy the cabin that Toby grew up going to.  Here Cam is showing us his donut...he had plenty of sugar that week!

Fun in Nebraska...Video Style

Slip and Slide

While we were in Nebraska, Camden got to try out a slip and slide for the first time and he loved it!  He sure had lots of fun and loved getting running starts, but we're not quite sure he caught on to the concept of sliding.  Check it out!

Lifegroup Girls Weekend

Our family is blessed to be a part of an amazing lifegroup from our church; through the past years, incredibly friendships have been formed and we have been challenged spiritually through sharing life with this group.  Every fall and spring, the guys go camping one weekend and the girls have a night away!  This is something Toby and I both look forward to and this spring did not disappoint.  The girls headed to Fort Worth for shopping, eating, movies, bowling, and lots of chatting!  Thanks to Emily for capturing some pics!  We missed you, Lisa!!!
