Camden's Baby Dedication

On Sunday, October 24th, we had the joy of publicly presenting Camden to God and to dedicate ourselves to the task of Biblical parenting. It was such a special day for us and more than anything we pray that our sweet son will come to know and love God at an early age. His salvation is a daily prayer of ours. We were very happy to have a lot of our family present to join us. Camden Lloyd is very blessed to have such a Godly extended family who will certainly assist in him knowing Christ!
Our family before dedication
Dedication invitation All of our family that were able to join us in person (we also had lots of family praying over the special day from far away).
My sweet sis and her kids (Hard to get a good pic with so many little ones! Cam was especially distracted by the water.)
Nana and Papa

Opening his dedication present from BTBF-a storybook Bible
After dedication on stage, we were able to have a family prayer time with Mike Wiltz, staff catalyst at church. Mike and Toby also meet once a week for discipleship, so we were happy to have him pray with our family!
A little blurry, but this is us on stage.
Playing before dedication~Camden has really gotten into standing while holding chairs, but we still have to hold him too. :)
Camden's pal, Adam, was also dedicated. Adam's parents are good friends of ours from lifegroup! It is fun to have such a strong lifegroup family to share in our parenting journey too.

Coming Soon...6 Month Post!

Camden turned 6 MONTHS OLD yesterday and I will post his half birthday post soon! However, he is a sickie right now, so I figure it is not the best time to get a picture. Boooo for him being sick for the first time! :(

Nichols Family Camp Out

Garrett & Camden "playing" with Garrett's dump truck. I have a feeling these boys will have a great time together as they get older!
Morning time with Mary Grace~don't you love his cute little pj's?! Thanks, Aunt Kristin!

Family pic by the lake. We were showing our Baylor spirit and we're so sad they lost! :(

Garrett really wanted to push Camden when we went on our walks. Such a sweet cousin!

Camden was more interested in Nana than the camera. :)

I think Camden enjoyed a picnic lunch!

Toby is such a great uncle! Mary Grace & Garrett LOVE him...I think this picture shows why.
*Note: Aunt Kara was there too, but not in any of the pictures. :( I'm blaming this on Nana who was the photographer for the weekend!

Camden went on his first of many Nichols Family Camp Outs this past weekend. My family tries to go camping together once every fall and spring! It is such a fun tradition and we were excited for Cam to have his first camping experience. He did great! We love getting to spend time with our family and love being outside, so camping is the perfect combo!

25 Weeks of Bliss

Really?! How can Camden already be 25 weeks...time is flying!

The Road to Nebraska

Some people might think we're crazy, but we drove to Nebraska this past week with Camden! One of my best friends, Alison (also who introduced Toby & me) was getting married and Cam had never met several of his NE relatives. So we headed out Wednesday night after work and drove to northern Kansas and finished the drive Thursday morning. Camden did great! We got to spend some time in Lincoln visiting Toby's sweet fam and Toby was thrilled to get an invite to Husker football practice for the day. One of his former basketball players is a star running back for Nebraska! On Friday, I headed to Omaha early in the morning to begin wedding festivities and Toby, Camden, Mimi, and Grampa followed later that day. Mimi and Grampa were ever so kind to come to Omaha to be our on site babysitters! Camden loved spending time with them and we were so glad to be able to enjoy the events knowing Cam was in good hands. The wedding was AMAZING and it was so much fun to be with my girlfriends! Congrats to Alison and JR!!! We were a little nervous about the 11 hour drive home (since we had to do it all in one day), but Cam was incredible! He was such a trooper through it all and seemed to be in heaven when we finally got home and he got out of the car seat. He immediately giggled, squealed, and wiggled all over! We had a great weekend and Camden loved his first of many trips to come to Nebraska!

Here are some pics from the wedding festivities...

And here are a few pics of what Camden did this weekend...

Happy to see his "Auntie" Lauren...hands in the mouth mean he is happy! :)

Hanging out with the Hemje boys...wish we would have gotten a pic with all 5 of them! Amy & Jeff amaze me with 4 boys...I think Cam loved watching his cousins.

Lunch with cousin Drew~again we missed out on pics, but he also met his Aunt Marcia, Uncle Tim, and cousins Ali, Holly, and Dylan in Lincoln.

Eating with Mimi~Again no good pics with Mimi and Grampa, but they were a HUGE help! Camden loved his time with them!

THRILLED to not be in a car seat

This is what we did during our rest stops...Camden loved to be outside!

These are just a few of the toys we took a long to entertain him. :)

Sweet boy fell asleep holding his daddy's hand...precious!

24 Weeks!

Seriously, I don't think Camden could be any more fun than he is right now! He has always been a pretty happy baby, but lately it is the best. The continuous smiles and giggles melt my heart. I told Toby that if babies were born at this age (and maybe stayed this age), I would want 10! We love our sweet boy and can't believe he is already 24 weeks old!
