Over the hills & through the woods...

to Nana & Papa's we went! Camden & Mama just got back from spending several days in the Piney Woods of East Texas visiting family. We had a great time while there, but Mama forgot our camera. Nana was sweet enough to share a few snapshots from the visit. Somehow we missed getting a picture with Aunt Kara, but she was there and spent lots of time loving on Camden. We love you sweet family!

Fourteen Weeks Rewind

More pictures will be coming soon from Camden's first trip to Marshall. Mama and Camden went and hung out with family while Daddy went to NYC with his dad and brother. Although Marshall is not quite as glamorous as NYC, we had a great time! Here are some pictures from Cam's week!

Right now, Camden is obsessed with grabbing his feet, especially his left foot!

Crazy post-bath hair!

Camden likes to eat his diaper while being changed.

Who knew Camden would have major spit up when Mama played airplane?! So gross.

The cutest little duck ever :)

Daddy and Camden playing airplane...this is one of his favorite things to do!

It is really fun to watch Camden discovering and playing with his toys!

3 Months Old

Camden turned 3 months old yesterday, a whole quarter of a year! Photo shoots are getting a bit easier as he gets older, but the flash still scares him. Smiles usually disappear and big/scared eyes appear. Here are a few things I don’t want to forget about Camden at 3 months old.

• No doctor appointment this month, so we did some at home estimates for his size. We are still shocked at how long he getting…just shy of 27 inches now! His weight is right around 15 pounds. Toby & I feel so blessed to have such a healthy, happy boy!
• We’re back to the in between stage for clothes. Length wise he needs 3-6 months, but width wise 0-3 are better. So right now, it is a mix of both, but always 6 month sleepers! We are finishing our last package of size 1 diapers and will then move on to size 2.
• Wow…our boy has become such a big eater this month! You would think he would be really chubby for all he eats. Camden eats 5 times a day and eats between 7-9 ounces when he takes a bottle. We mostly nurse, but he does a bottle at least once every other day.
• We are so proud of what a great sleeper Camden is! He naps 1 1/2-2 hours after each feeding, but we have experienced the 45 minute intruder this month. I think we are on the down side of it, but mama hates it. If he can’t soothe himself back to sleep, we move him to the swing to finish his naps. At night, Cam sleeps from about 10:00-7:30. We dropped the dream feed and will start working on pushing his bed time further back soon.
• Not only does Camden look just like his daddy, everyone says he is going to be an active little boy like Toby! He never stops wiggling. I think Camden is all boy for sure!
• Head control is still a strength of Camden…he loves his bumbo and we have also started the exersaucer (with a blanket around him since he doesn’t quite fill it out). He really enjoys the new views! He has rolled over a hand full of times, but only when he gets really upset.
• We love his precious smile and sweet giggle. His smiles the most in the mornings and right before bed…it is such a precious time for our family! I love his little giggle. 
• Camden makes noises all the time! The past week he has started talking to the animals on his bouncy seat and swing. He also really likes talking to that cool baby and mommy we see when we look in the mirror!
• We took Camden to the nursery at church for the first time on Sunday. The workers gave him a great report!
• The car seat is still a struggle; he just hates to be strapped in! This makes it hard for us to go out to stores where I can’t just hold him the whole time. I am looking forward to when he sits up enough to ride in a cart.

We feel so blessed to have such a precious little boy! Camden brings so much joy to our lives and we can’t wait to see what the next month holds.

13 Weeks!

Bedtime and morning times seem to be when Camden is the happiest. He is so fun to play with!

Camden loves to play!

Saturdays are so fun. Daddy knows how to play with me like little boys like!

Two funny videos...

Here are a couple of funny videos of Camden! We've given him a bath a couple of times in the big bath tub and he loves it. It is so funny to watch him kick non-stop and he splashes so hard that we all get wet! The other is of him in his bouncy seat (inside our bath tub, weird I know, but it saves space). He also kicks a lot in it and has started talking to his animals. He is so fun to watch!

12 Weeks & Toys

This past week has flown by and now Camden is 12 weeks old! It has been fun to watch him lately as he has gotten into his toys, although his favorite are still his hands. :)

Camden playing with his basketball rattle.

Eating his hands, I mean playing with his monkey. :)

Cam showing off his tummy time!

Enjoying the view while zooming on Mama's knees. Camden loves playing airplane!

Cam checking out his favorite ball...or maybe it is just Mama and Daddy's. We'll let him decide!

Mama, did you know there are toys on this thing?!

Loving his Bumbo seat!

Camden looking at his crinkle book outside (still his favorite place!).

Our Little Fish

A couple of weeks ago Camden got to go swimming for the first time at our friend's house. He loved it! I think it probably just felt like a big bathtub to him. :) He like for Toby to float him around and then spent a long time just chilling in one of their kiddie floats.

Camden's First Vacation

We went down to San Antonio the past week with Toby's immediate family. While we were there, we went to Schlitterbahn, a family reunion/100th birthday party, the Riverwalk, and the Alamo. More important than what we saw was who we saw. Camden got to spend a lot of time with his Mimi and Grampa again and meet his Uncle T.J. & Aunt Marla and Uncle Matthew, Aunt Kristin, & cousins Joshua & Susannah. We are so blessed with such a fun family and cannot wait to see Camden grow up with his sweet cousins!

I have to brag on my little boy a bit. I was VERY nervous about driving five hours with a two-month old, having to be flexible with our schedule, and being in many new situations. Wow, he did great! All in all, the trip was probably harder on Mama than Camden just because she was anxious.

A BIG thanks to Mimi & Grampa for making this trip happen and for picking up the tabs for nearly everything. :) We had a great time with the Schulte family!
