Camden turned 3 months old yesterday, a whole quarter of a year! Photo shoots are getting a bit easier as he gets older, but the flash still scares him. Smiles usually disappear and big/scared eyes appear. Here are a few things I don’t want to forget about Camden at 3 months old.
• No doctor appointment this month, so we did some at home estimates for his size. We are still shocked at how long he getting…just shy of 27 inches now! His weight is right around 15 pounds. Toby & I feel so blessed to have such a healthy, happy boy!
• We’re back to the in between stage for clothes. Length wise he needs 3-6 months, but width wise 0-3 are better. So right now, it is a mix of both, but always 6 month sleepers! We are finishing our last package of size 1 diapers and will then move on to size 2.
• Wow…our boy has become such a big eater this month! You would think he would be really chubby for all he eats. Camden eats 5 times a day and eats between 7-9 ounces when he takes a bottle. We mostly nurse, but he does a bottle at least once every other day.
• We are so proud of what a great sleeper Camden is! He naps 1 1/2-2 hours after each feeding, but we have experienced the 45 minute intruder this month. I think we are on the down side of it, but mama hates it. If he can’t soothe himself back to sleep, we move him to the swing to finish his naps. At night, Cam sleeps from about 10:00-7:30. We dropped the dream feed and will start working on pushing his bed time further back soon.
• Not only does Camden look just like his daddy, everyone says he is going to be an active little boy like Toby! He never stops wiggling. I think Camden is all boy for sure!
• Head control is still a strength of Camden…he loves his bumbo and we have also started the exersaucer (with a blanket around him since he doesn’t quite fill it out). He really enjoys the new views! He has rolled over a hand full of times, but only when he gets really upset.
• We love his precious smile and sweet giggle. His smiles the most in the mornings and right before bed…it is such a precious time for our family! I love his little giggle.
• Camden makes noises all the time! The past week he has started talking to the animals on his bouncy seat and swing. He also really likes talking to that cool baby and mommy we see when we look in the mirror!
• We took Camden to the nursery at church for the first time on Sunday. The workers gave him a great report!
• The car seat is still a struggle; he just hates to be strapped in! This makes it hard for us to go out to stores where I can’t just hold him the whole time. I am looking forward to when he sits up enough to ride in a cart.
We feel so blessed to have such a precious little boy! Camden brings so much joy to our lives and we can’t wait to see what the next month holds.

Camden looks so grown up in that little shirt! Sounds like things are going really well for you guys -- I'm sure you won't be too sad when you don't have to show up for work on Monday ... :)
