1 Year Old

Camden got to spend the morning of his birthday at Dr. Kim’s office for his 1 year check-up! Everything looked great and the shots weren’t too traumatic, but the 3 tubes of blood they drew certainly was…especially for Mama and Nana! We are so thankful for the healthy, fun little boy that God blessed us with! As you can tell, I didn’t get a dog picture, but here is a look at what Camden’s up to at 1 year…
• The trend for size continues! Camden is 31.88 in (95%) and 23.8 lbs (75%). We continually get told how much older/bigger he looks than he actually is!
• Camden wears size 12-18 and 18 month clothes and size 5 or 6 shoes. He is in size 4 diapers.
• He is a champ at sleep! We love that he sleeps from about 8:00 pm to 7:30-8:00 am every night. He is also still taking 2 naps, both around 1.5 hours. He is a crazy man in his sleep and moves around a ton!
• Camden drinks whole milk in a sippy cup at each of his three meals and takes one bottle at bedtime. We will work on dropping this in the next month or so. He does great with most any finger food and has begun to eat mostly what we are having. He still has oatmeal for breakfast and yogurt with his lunch. I would say his favorite food is Chick-fil-a nuggets! These are a rare treat that he enjoys.
• Cam’s hair has lightened so much since he was born and he is certainly a blondie now! He also has already picked up a little bit of a tan, such a cutie! He has 8 teeth that have broken through so far, but 2 are not completely down yet.
• He talks up a storm! You can’t understand him a lot of the time, but that doesn’t stop him! Words that we can understand are: mama, dada, bye, night night, dog, duck, ball, book, pop, truck. He also loves to make sounds for a few things like his trucks and ducks!
• Camden is a walking machine! He doesn’t crawl at all and can get where he wants quick! He thinks he is especially cool when he carries things when he walks.
• He recently has begun loving music and dances around when it is on!
• Camden has also begun testing the limits this month. We have had a few fits when he doesn’t get what he wants or is told no. The most common is when he doesn’t get to go outside or has to come in!
• Some of his favorite things right now are: trucks, toy lawn mower, sand, golf clubs, books, balls, stuffed dog and real dog, pushing his own stroller, and balloons!

We cannot even begin to explain how much we love our sweet boy! It is amazing to see how much he has grown up in just 1 year. We are so thankful that the Lord entrusted us with Camden Lloyd. We love you!!!
