Happy
3rd Birthday to our sweet girl! We are so thankful
to be your parents and love you so much!!! Here is what’s happening
with Halle at age 3!
•
You’re still long and lean! At your doctor visit last week, you were
39 inches (90%) and 31.5 pounds (57%). Dr. Cook also reported that
you look like a happy, healthy girl! We
don’t take that for granted at all!
• Halle wears mostly 3T clothes, but a few 4T. Sometimes it is pretty tough to fit your long, skinny body! You wear a size 9 in shoes.
•You are a good nighttime sleeper, although your total nighttime sleep decreased some with potty training and the big girl bed! You sleep from about 8:00 pm to 7:30 am every night and we never hear a peep! You moved into a big girl bed a few weeks ago and have done great! Most days you (thankfully) still nap! You go down around 2-2:30 and sleep 1.5-2 hours. You sleep with your white polka dot blanket and whatever stuffed animals you choose for the night! We still use a sound machine for sleep and you never seem to be disturbed.

We started potty training with you right after Christmas. It took several months, but it seems to have
finally clicked with you. You now tell
us nearly all the time when you need to go.
You still wear “pajama panties” at night.
•
You’re a pretty good eater and love to have “snacks” as you say! Some
of your favorite foods are: whole grain waffles, cereal,
watermelon, cantaloupe, pineapple, strawberries, hot dogs, chicken nuggets,
pizza, and tomatoes.
•
Halle has big brown eyes and long blonde, curly hair! She has 20 teeth and cute purple glasses.
• Halle is very social! She makes friends wherever we go and loves to keep a busy social calendar! She has several friends that are her “best buddies” as she says! As soon as she wakes up, she asks where we’re going for the day and which friends she’ll see.

Halle is quite the chatterbox! She talks nonstop just like her big
brother! Mama often feels like she is
listening to two different radio programs in surround sound at the same time.
•Our girl is either really happy or really sad, there’s not much in between! She can have a meltdown in a split second over the littlest things. We do think she is improving in this area, but we spend a lot of time in time outs, talking about kindness and praying. She is quick to say sorry when she makes a sad choice and I feel like I can see the lessons sinking in.
• She is a little sponge and loves learning! Halle can identify all his letters, knows all the sounds, can identify beginning sounds in words, knows most her numbers, can spell her name, and lots of other things that amaze me! Of course, I am supposed to be the proud Mama! She loves to color, but is not overly strong in fine motor skills quite yet.
• Some of her favorite things right now are: dollhouse, dress up, crafts, Star Wars and Rescuebots with her big brother, cooking in her kitchen, games, music, Paw Patrol, Mickey Mouse, Leap Frog videos, swimming, giving hugs, taking showers, reading books, and pretending.
We are SO proud of the wonderful girl Halle is becoming and can’t wait to see what God has in store for her next year!

Halle is definitely "beautifully and wonderfully made," and I thank God for her sweet life. What a joy she is!!
