Happy 4 Months to our sweet boy! I love the stage he is at right now, so happy and smiley. Here are some details about Camden right now.
• We went to the doctor yesterday and got a great report. No surprise that he is still in the 96th percentile for height (27 inches) and 61st for weight (15 pounds 8 ounces). She confirmed that he is a healthy, long and lean guy! He also did great for his shots. We got the okay to start baby food when we’re ready!
• Camden wears 3-6 month clothes right now and looks so cute in them! I don’t know how much longer we will last in this size of sleepers before he can’t bend his knees. I think this may be a common trend for our little guy. He wears size 2 diapers during the day and size 3 at night. We started this after a few unfortunate night experiences!
• Not much has changed in the eating department this past month. Camden eats 5 times a day (about every 3 ½ hours during the day) and eats between 7-9 ounces when he takes a bottle. He still nurses and takes a bottle well although he likes to stop for frequent smile/play breaks.
• We continue to be blessed with a great little sleeper! This month we stopped swaddling him and he has done great. After several nights of him rolling himself over to his tummy, we have started putting him down that way now. It seems to help with his naps and the 45 minute intruder seems to be almost gone! At night, Cam sleeps from about 7:30-7:30 with a dream feed around 8:30. He takes two 2 hour naps and a shorter “cat” nap in the late afternoon.
• Camden is an active boy! He kicks non-stop…in the bath, the car seat, bouncy seat, stroller, and even when he eats. I think he will be a bundle of energy when he is a toddler for sure! He also is constantly rolling over and side to side when he is on the floor or bed. Cam still likes to be held in a standing position and also likes to practice sitting.
• Camden’s favorite toys right now are: exersaucer, Johnny Jump-up, bouncy seat, and his stuffed elephants! He is starting to be really interested in toys and grabs for them. He also grabs at the pages when we read books.
• His smiles are become more and more common and he laughs at the most random things! The easiest way to get him to giggle is to say “elefante” (don’t ask how this got started). It is hilarious! Saturday night my mom, sister, niece, and nephew had a photo shoot with Camden and I’m sure we all looked crazy saying “elefante” over and over. Oh the things I will do for that sweet laugh!
• Our little boy has some crazy hair! From day one, he has had a full head of hair complete with a big cow lick in the front. Needless to say the cow lick has become more impossible to work with as his hair has gotten longer. He has also lost some hair on one side, but not on the other. It is so funny to see what his hair will look like each day!
• I am happy to report that improvement has been made in the car seat department. Although he doesn’t love it still, it is not the battle it used to be! However, the new battle is the jogging stroller! He cries on and off most of our morning runs. This makes it super hard on Mama, but I know we’ve got to get through it.
Camden Lloyd is such a blessing to us! We are absolutely in love with our sweet son.
