• No doctor visit this month, but our estimates are that Camden is just over 20 pounds and is about 30 inches long. We still continually get comments on how long he is and how old he looks!
• Cam is in all 6-12 months clothes and Mama is afraid this size won’t last all winter! I may have to hit up the 18 month pants before all is said and done. He wears size 3 diapers, but we have switched to the cruisers (more info to come on that!).
• Camden is still taking four liquid feedings a day, most of the time he nurses, but takes a bottle well too! I feel like we have regressed in the amount of time it takes him to eat because he is VERY easily distracted. He also eats solids three times a day; oatmeal and fruit for breakfast, fruit and veggie for lunch, and rice cereal and veggie for dinner. His favorite is for sure oatmeal with peas coming in a close second. Instead of drinking out of his sippy like he has been, he has now switched to chewing on it. I think this may have to do with the teeth coming in! He also tried puffs for the first time and loves them! He can only get them in his own mouth like 1/10 times, but he tries really hard.
• Camden is still sleeping like a champ! He is especially great at night! He goes down about 8:00 and sleeps until 7:30 in the morning. Some mornings he wakes earlier, but plays quietly until we go in to get him. He is such a happy boy in the mornings! We dropped the late afternoon nap this month, but occasionally he still takes it if he got a short nap earlier in the day. He goes down for naps at 10:00 and 2:30 and sleeps between 1 ½ to 2 hours. Camden sleeps on his tummy mostly, but sometimes his side.
• Camden is on the move! It seems like he went from barely scooting to all out crawling in no time! He is really fast and can go anywhere he wants. This makes for some babyproofing and lots of “no touch” sayings from Mama during the day. He has also been “promoted” at church from the infants to crawlers room. Mama is a little nervous about this! Cam is also pulling up on everything! Lately he has even started pulling up and then holding on with just one hand while he reaches for a toy with the other. This is such a fun (but exhausting) stage! I love to see him when he is determined to get somewhere!
• Camden loves his activity table that we got from Nana and Papa! It is the perfect height for him to pull up on and has lots of cool toys. He also really likes playing with Tupperware in the kitchen, empty boxes, and a recent discovery, wrapping paper. Just in time for Christmas!
• Camden makes lots of noises and is very vocal. When we went to Toby’s first basketball game, Camden “talked” almost the whole time…I think he was trying to coach too!
• Other things to remember: he loves going on runs now, Nana and Grandmother kept him over night while Mama and Daddy went on trips, he’s super curious!
We are so blessed to have such a healthy, happy boy! We love you, Camden Lloyd!
