I'm sure that all parents say this, but seriously...how can we have a 2 year old?!?! Life is so fun these days and We are so thankful for such a healthy, sweet son! Here is a look at life at 2!
• One of these days he has to slow down! Camden had a great doctor visit today and was 38.5 inches (greater than 97%) and just under 31 pounds (80%). His size usually causes confusion on his age; most people think he's 3!
• Camden wears 2T and 3T clothes depending on the brand and 8 or 8.5 in shoes. We just moved up to size 6 diapers!
• LOVE that he he loves his sleep! He sleeps from about 8:15 pm to 8:00 am every night and we never hear a peep! We frequently sneak in before we got to bed and hold him for a while..love those moments! He goes down for nap around 2 every day and sleeps around 2 hours. He likes to sleep with his pillow, blanket, football blanket, and dog. He insists on wearing socks when he sleeps!
• His eating has dramatically improved! He eats almost everything that we do! Some of his favorite foods are: whole grain waffles, cereal, strawberries, smoothies, cheese, hot dogs, chicken nuggets, pizza, tomatoes, and cucumbers. He loves to dip most everything and loves when he gets dessert!
• Cam has Mama's hair and skin color with Daddy's features. He has 16 teeth and usually bruises all over from his adventures. He is all boy!
• I cannot believe how has language has exploded! I love that he can now express his thoughts and it so fun to hear what he is thinking! He talks in sentences and knows too many words to count! He is very opinionated (wonder where he gets that from) and will correct us if he thinks we called something the wrong name!
• We love when he remembers to use his manners! He frequently uses "please, thank you, bless you." We are working on always greeting people and saying excuse me when he bumps into someone!
• Although he is still super active, he is learning boundaries and has also become quite the cuddler! He runs, climbs, dances, and jumps. He also loves to do some funny things like gallop, march, and tip toe! With all his activity, it is a good thing he is also super tough!
• Camden loves all of our activities and LOVES seeing his friends! We try to stay busy during the weeks! Our days are usually filled with lunch dates, music class, volunteering at church, library story time, and playgroups. It is so fun to see how much he enjoys socialization!
• For the time being (knock on wood), his overall behavior is pretty good. We went through a super whiney phase a few months ago that was no fun! He is quick to say sorry when he makes a sad choice.
• He is a little sponge and loves learning! He can count 1-10 (usually skips 2), can say his ABC's and can identify several letters and sounds, knows 10 colors, identifies 8 shapes, and lots of other things that amaze me! Of course, I am supposed to be the proud Mama!
• Camden must have gotten his Daddy's musical ability, because he loves to sing! Some of his favorites are "Oh How I Love Jesus", "Twinkle, Twinkle", "Our God is Greater", "Open Shut Them", and many more! If we are at home, he plays instruments while singing!
• Some of his favorite things right now are: SPORTS..any kind...he loves to play and watch, trucks, bubbles, games on Mama's Iphone, music, helping Daddy "fix" things, Handy Manny, Leap Frog Letter Factory, giving hugs, taking showers, reading books, and pretending.
• We are excited to see him become a big brother in the next few months! He loves to talk to, hug, and kiss baby sister. He also frequently tells us that "baby sister sit in chair and watch me play baseball in backyard." We'll see, pal!

We are so incredibly proud of our precious two year old and pray that the Lord continues to richly bless his life! What an honor to get to be his Mama and Daddy!
I'm with you. It is SO hard to believe Camden is two! And, what a joy he is. We treasure our time with him and his wonderful parents. God has so richly blessed our lives with yours.
