Wow! On Wednesday afternoon we were at "The Beach" enjoying 75 degree weather and Thursday night we got hit by an ice storm that kept us trapped for 4 days straight! That's right, school was cancelled Friday AND Monday.
Camden was SO excited Friday morning; he came running in our room saying "It snowed! It must be Christmas!" We told him to play in his room until it was wake time, but I heard a noise in the kitchen. Upon investigating, I found him with a carrot and hat in hand ready to make a snowman! It was so cute! Sadly, this was not fluffy snow at all, but thick hard ice so no snowman could be made. That didn't stop us from playing though! It was fun, but we all started getting stir crazy before too long.
Our smart Nebraskan daddy made a sled out of our laundry basket...it provided lots of fun!
Exploring the neighborhood day 1
All bundled up! Camden had pretty good ice gear, but we didn't have much for Halle. She had to wear her size 5 shoes inside Cam's old size 5 rainboots!
Our neighborhood friends came over for lunch and to play on Saturday!
On Sunday the roads were pretty slushy so we went out to lunch AND dinner! It was great to be out of the house. After dinner with friends Sunday night, we let the crazies run around in the restaurant hallway. They had a BLAST!
It was fun to have some ice, but I think we were all ready for normalcy to return!

What great memories for you and your family. So glad that the kids had so much fun and that you didn't totally lose it!!
